Ride for a Reason: The 2nd Annual Miles for Mercy Poker Run Returns October 17

American Iron Speed-n-Cycle is bringing riders, local businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and community supporters together for the 2nd Annual Miles for Mercy Poker Run benefiting Frederick Health Hospice.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, with a rain date of Saturday, October 24, 2026. Presented by Malloy Law Offices, this year’s ride will build on the success of the inaugural event while aiming to make an even greater impact for hospice care in the Frederick community.

Building on Last Year’s Success

The 2025 Miles for Mercy Poker Run raised $2,138.74 for Frederick Health Hospice. That donation was made possible by riders, sponsors, volunteers, local businesses, and supporters who showed up and helped turn a day of riding into meaningful support for local families.

This year, American Iron Speed-n-Cycle and event partners have set a goal of raising more than $5,000 through rider registrations, sponsorships, donations, raffles, auction items, and community participation.

“American Iron Speed-n-Cycle is proud to host this event and help bring the riding community together for a cause that matters right here at home,” said Greg Fielder, owner of American Iron Speed-n-Cycle. “Last year’s donation was made possible because riders, sponsors, volunteers, and local businesses showed up. This year, we want to build on that momentum and raise even more for Frederick Health Hospice.”

A Full Day of Riding and Community Support

The 2026 Poker Run is sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association and is designed to create a professionally organized experience for participating riders.

Registration will begin at American Iron Speed-n-Cycle in Frederick. Riders will travel to participating stops throughout the area, drawing a card at each location to build their poker hand.

Confirmed stops include:

The poker run will conclude at Lewistown Social Club with the Miles for Mercy After Party, Miles for Mercy Bike Night, and the K & K Automotive Car & Motorcycle Show.

The evening will feature the final card draw, sponsor tables, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, food by Agave 137 and Cellar Door, music by DJ Thumper with Magical Memories, and more opportunities to support Frederick Health Hospice.

The after-party is open to the public, giving non-riders a chance to join the fundraiser and be part of the day.
