Miles for Mercy: Riding for Dignity, Comfort, and Care
We turn wrenches, we twist throttles, and we hit the road hard, but every now and then, we ride for something even bigger than the machine.
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, American Iron Speed-n-Cycle is proud to host the 1st Annual Miles for Mercy Poker Run, a charity ride benefiting Frederick Health Hospice, a local nonprofit that delivers compassionate, end-of-life care for individuals and families in our community.
This isn’t just another poker run. This ride is personal.
Why We Ride for Frederick Health Hospice
Death isn’t something most people want to talk about, but how we live during the final phase of life? That matters. That deserves attention, respect, and care that honors every person’s dignity, choices, and peace.
Frederick Health Hospice helps people do just that. They don’t just care for patients, they care for entire families facing the unthinkable. Whether someone is fighting cancer, managing a terminal diagnosis, or simply nearing the end of a long road, hospice steps in with medical care, emotional and spiritual support, grief counseling, and personalized therapy options, from music to massage.
And they do all this not for profit, but because it’s what our community deserves.
What Hospice Services Include:

Registration: 11 AM – 12 PM at American Iron Speed-n-Cycle
Stops: Rockwell Brewery, Dragon Distillery, Linganore Winecellars
Final Stop & After-Party: Rosie Cheeks Distillery
